Another volume of the translation of Jin Ping Mei, co-authored by our colleague Ondřej Vicher, has been published

In the ninth volume, the unknown author describes the gradual decline of the House of Ximen after the death of its master, who, although a vice-ridden and licentious man, was socially far-reaching, wealthy and influential. Despite the gradual degradation and disintegration of the family, events rapidly escalate, the fates of many characters continue to unfold, there is no shortage of affairs, crises, twists and turns, and the tension builds.
